Bison in the snow
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Though most people think I'm crazy, I was really excited to wake up a fresh snowfall in Yellowstone on May 12. I had always seen shots of bison with snow on them, but I never wanted to braze the cold of the winter. So with the temp around the freezing mark (comfortable in the car) I ventured down the Lamar Valley and was as happy as can be seeing and shooting bison, pronghorn, and a coyote. They are easy to spot in the snow and look remarkable. The only hard part is exposure. |

Many thanks for your kind words on Paddy Terrace .
Hello Mike,
This is a great capture of the bison!
A couple of weeks ago I was so lucky to see his distant cousins, the musk oxes, in the mountains not far from here...
A fine pose and the snow adds attraction value!
Greetings,
