I like how the Grand Tetons were just visible in the horizon, from this location of the Teton's National Park & I finally had a single tree to include in the scene. The foreground is mostly grazing land for the herds of deer & Buffalo unfortunately my timing was bad for viewing that, though we did see many in the following few days.
The Grand Tetons are a mountain range of the Rocky Mountains in the Teton's National Park in the state of Wyoming. They run North to South & most of the range is inside this National Park. The Tetons, unlike most mtn. ranges ,lack foothills, or lower peaks, which can obscure their view. They rise sharply from 5000 to nearly 7000ft. above the surrounding terrain. this info taken from Wikipedi.

BRAVO RONALD.

Hi Ronald,
A fantastic landscape with excellent lighting and sharpness.
Great details in the grass and in the mountains.
The sky is a marvel and the leafless tree is an asset to this lovely composition depicting autumn, I suppose!
Excellent color rendition and a very clean presentation.
Best regards,

Francis Xavier

hello Ronald,

Wonderful landscape with gret details and colors .

A place filled with peace and with calmness...

Hi Ron,
Wow, this landscape is very beautiful, you managed to make a good exposition, because under these light conditions, it would have been easy to overexpose the shot. Sky and clouds look correct and the distant snowy peaks are well seen. I can also agree with the extensive green foreground. TFS!
Have a nice weekend!
Greetings,
Kristof

Hi Ron,
You have chosen an excellent POV for this photo!
This is a point of view not usual for this so well known place!
The lighting conditions was not really the best but, you managed it well. I like the lonely tree irradiated with the strong light and the silhouettes of the Grand Tetons make a almost surrealistic atmosphere! Bravo! Annie

Hi Ron,

This is what I call a backdrop beautiful to say the least the pov is excellent and so is the dof great colours and sharp details well done.

Regards
Jon

Such a great place!! Beautiful scenery and fantastic detail and colors. Excellent composition. TFS

Hi Ron,
Pleasant scene, good composition with the tree. A CPL would have come in handy here, although I do quite like the light blue tones in the sky as they are. The clouds are certainly great features. Good lead-in with the FG grass, the distant mountains and details seem very clear. Nice capture.

TFS,
Scott.

Hello Ron,
Just think of being on the first wagon train and seeing this range of peaks looming overhead from the distance. "What now," they must have thought.
Excellent showing of the terrain and the distant peaks, I like the overall image as the sky and clouds are beautiful in the scene, the detail is amazing.
Have A Great Weekend...
Steve

Hi Ronald,
The Tetons are really special and they do make for one of the best mountain landscape shoots.
I have to be honest with this photo. I think your PP work is a bit sloppy. The edges of you brightening the landscape too obvious. There are still a lot of darker spots visible in some of the distant trees. You really need to zoom in close and use a smaller brush to touch these areas. I also think that the time of day (although not easy to control) didn't help you. Shooting into the sun made the Tetons look bleak. I agree with Scott, a CP filter would have helped, but only in combination with a grad ND.
TFS,
Niek
