It's been a long time since I posted. I've been too busy with work & family to do much posting or commenting.

The ghost corgi:

Many years ago when I was in college, I was driving back from a friend's house, late at night, when a small odd looking dog with short legs and big ears walked in front of my car. As I slammed on the breaks, the dog turned its head and looked at me, then just disappeared. Needless to say, I was a bit rattled by the dog just vanishing right before my eyes, but I put off the incident as just being tire until many years later. One day, my wife took me to a dog show and that is where I saw my first corgi. I immediately recognized it as the same type of dog that disappeared in front of my car. I then started to wonder if there was not something to the incident, as how would I hallucinate a dog breed that I had never seen before! As it turned out, seven years ago, we got two corgis: Dodi & Tank. We just had to put Dodi to sleep due to liver cancer. I used a photo of Dodi for this image, as she is now my ghost corgi.

HEY CHUCK!! So great to see you again here on TL! What a story! I have had a few incidents like this! LOVE your pp work here, excellent curve of the road, sweeping your eye across the pic! And a brilliant FLASH in the eyes to make it look like the headlights were in his eyes! Great story!
B-)

WOW! Great story and the picture with it! I'm sorry for your loss - it is always hard to let of the loved pet (had to put my Diablo to sleep three years ago and still hasn't gotten over it)...

Chuck,

Odd story to accompany a somewhat bizzare photo - nethertheless - in all honesty - I have to admit - I could resist opening a shot titles Ghost Corgi!

Regards
Colin

Hi Chuck,

Great post processing work. You've really captured a nice shot of the mysterious "ghost" dog.

Good PP work as usual, good to see you back. Sorry about your dog.
Regards,
Tibi

Hello Chuck, good to see you back. Great work & a wonderful tribute to your vision & Dodi. For a pet lover losing one is a hard time, for they become like family. I like the added feint image of her in the sky too. Don

Hello Chuck!

I like your compositions, generally!
Best regards!
Lili

Hi, great story and original photo. Soon Mauro

Very interesting photo Chuck and clever creation of a previous experience. One of my neighbors has a black Corgi which is very very loveable; one of the few dogs that I allow to lick my face! :O) Sorry to hear about the loss of you doggie. :O(

Richard
