| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Meet my friend Michael, our newest resident at the wildlife foundation. Michael is a Western Mountain LiON or Cugar. Only a few years back Mountain Lions were endangered specis, now they are making a comeback but not without controversy. There were several instances recently in California where people were attacked by mountain lions. Sadly this is due to growth of human habitat and thus loss of their natural habitat.
In the wild mountain lions are one of the stealthiest killers, they can also kill and carry a prey heavier than they are. They will kill deer, rabbit and other small animals.
Michael is trained by the volunteers to be gentle and less nervous around people.
I have posted a photo of Michael with me in the workshop. |

Ah Pranab, this fellow is a cutie, a young Cougar. Michael is very alert and looks quite suspicious of his surrounds. And it was good to see you in the WS. Well shown, thank you
Janice
Hi Pranab,
A great animal, captured quite well! For once I don't mind so much you cut the face of the guy... Good colours and details... And I think you do a valuable job there!

Fine subject. I would have included the face of the handler and cropped tighter to get a juxtaposition of the two. A very lively photograph.
