[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I work near the courts in downtown Manhattan. Sometimes I see men and the occcasional woman being brought into a holding cell behind one of the large court buildings. Today I captured this scene.

I didn't want to be noticed so I basically walked past them, swung my body around and snapped this one shot. The cutting off of the heads was accidental but I do like the way it worked out, leaving the focus and centered attention on the shackled hands.

Nice capture,

I enjoy that there are no heads - it lets the viewer feel how common the sight is in NYC.
I posted a workshop that brings the emphasis a little closer to the subject, I hope you enjoy.
Great image, thanks for posting.

Powerful shot. If anything your accidental cutting off of the heads hes engraced the shot. Very journalistic. Thanks for sharing!!!
