[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I got such great reviews on my first photo of myself that I decided to try it again. This is me being playful at the beach in California last year. I hope that you enjoy.
Just to clarify... I actually took this photo. I used a timer and posed... didn't plan on having it come out good.. but I actually think it came out not too bad. Appreciate the comments.

Leslie! A great follow up pic. As voodoo mentioned, you could make this photo much more appealing by:

* Level the horizon. Download Picasa2 (google for it), or use photoshop, and make the horizon level!
* Trek lens allows 800 pixels as a max width or height. You should really post as large as possible, preferably 800 pixels on in one dimension or the other.
* I think the crop is fine, but including more shadow (to make it whole) would have been nice.
* Brighten up the shot!

Thanks for the wonderful shot!

1. Photo is to small.
2. Horizon line is crooked.
3. Crop is not tight enough.
4. Too much digital noise.
me bad with words pass to silver

Your expression is great! a little more color depth would be great. Keep in mind the other suggestions that have already been given. Welcome to TL

But who is taking the photograph/s? Not you. Who do we give the credit to? Someone else. (If credit is forthcoming).

Hi Leslie
Cool candid shot of yourself. Eventhough the image a bit too small, but it was interestingly composed.
I like the sands which covered your body.
Yeah, did you use self-timer to have shot shot taken, Leslie?
Cheers

Hey

Keep on experimenting.

Cheers

Nice shot Leslie, welcome to TL!
At first, I wonder if this is you on the photo, who is the author then? You should post your own photos here, not just your ideas. But expression is great and photo has lot of potentials. Too bad it is such a small image, you should really try to post images which are 800px wide or high. Besides leveling the horizon and almost good composition, there are much other things to mention, so I did a workshop for you, just to show you how it can look a bit different, hope you don't mind.
Good work, hope we will be able to see more joyful photos coming from Vegas! ;)
Regards, have a good weekend!
Robert

Hi Leslie,

This is an interesting commentry note I have read. I know many people on TL who have got their own style. So this could be your own individual style, if you start to capture self portraites.

Best of luck.

Inaam H.-

Leslie,

you git a very unique idea of taking self portrait just a few tips that i've learn here in TL as well.

CROPPING:
Your picture seems to squeeze
The shadow was cut, it will be much better if you include the shadow.

RULES OF THIRDS
If you wanted to include the background the best ways is to use the " rules of thirds"
don't put your subject on the centered.

i Hope this can help.

cheers
jon
