I don't care about the troubles
That up above, so torture me
'Cuz beneath this city by candlelight
Is where I wanna be...

This is the second shot I liked from this shoot. Lighting via tea candles, exposure time of 8 minutes at f5.6 and ISO 200. Post-processing was merely some level adjustments, some cropping, and a resize.

We had around 100 yard of this place lit up, this was the longest amount of time I ever spent on a candle shoot.

Everything about that night was crazy...

I really like this shot what a feeling of DOF, nice exposure bringing the texture oft eh walls and floor out. I might have cropped it a little further up the shot, just past the black thingies, but still a nice unusual shot. thanks for sharing with us. Andy

My first reaction was "WOW!" My second, I know where you are- in the caverns below St Paul! The depth of field back to what might almost be infinity is great, the colors warm and unexpected for these caves, and the patience to do this, extreme. I might have cloned a little darker color over the very bright light at the front right, but that is a minor quibble. This is beautifully done.

Amazing effect of tunnel, Brian!
Expressive colours, lights and darkness.
Best wishes and TFS,
Elena

argh... scary, fearful place; like from a bad dream (or some computer game.....). Wonderful idea for the shot - thanks for sharing the exposition details. Result is really amazing. I've seen also previous photo of it. Impressive!

Mind if I go now? Feel very unsecure in this tunnel! lol

Thanks for sharing this work!

Marek

Hello Brian,

Great follow up to the other shot. The light here is a bit more moody and the colors are beautiful. The tunnels seems to go on forever. Excellent work Brian and well worth the efforts. Great find!

Peace and Love always!
Kevin
