Hello All! I am new to the wonderful world of photography and this is my first post. I recently bought a Nikon D70 and wanted to set forth and try it out.
About the picture...I don't know what this structure is but I always found it interesting. The day I took it, it was cold and dark. The closer I got to it, I felt like someone was watching me. Everything is covered in vines and overgrowth, like something from a horror movie.
History: The building rested about 200 yards from a main road in town on private property. The property has since fallen into the town’s hands and is now a part of a park. Luckily form me because I can now explore it on my own free will. It was once owned by Eden Woolley, a prominent Quaker in the late 1800's.
I cropped the picture using Photoshop and reduced the size. Any recommendations are graciously accepted. |

welcome to TL...a very interesting subject...it reminds me of something out of a horror flick as well...i like how the structure is framed on both sides by the trees...however i think you have too much forground here...there really isnt much going on with the grass...this would be a great subject to photograph up close...to capture the details of this decaying structure...enjoy the D70 its a great camera...keep shooting...trial and error is the best way to learn...but i would also recommend reading books...they helped me greatly when i first got my camera and also when i strated shooting...peace***
