The daisey is my favorite flower and symbolizes to me all that is bright and beautiful and good in this world. The perky blossom always brings a smile. This photo is an experiment with framing in MS DI as my way of also showing that a daisey is a flower of love.

First ran original photo thru neat image. Then adjusted contrast and sharpening.(carefully!) I was hoping to be able to put the frame around the photo with text on the frame and then adjust the size of the flower to appear to "pop" out of the frame....so having the flower petals outside the framing is intentional. This is my first attempt at this level of PP, so be gentle with my results!!! Was also hoping for a romantic feel. Well, now that you are totally confused, think how I feel! The bottom line is I wanted to work with something new and different and to share it with you by showing a romantic side of me......

Thank you for any suggestions, critiques and ideas as I so much appreciate them. :O)

Kathleen, I have a problem here...
I like the frame and the text (truly romantic indeed), which has kind of an engraved look. I also like the flower and the background as well.
But I don't like the petals obscuring the text, without making it really invisible. (I guess you applied a circular gradient transparency on the flower ?)
And IMO the bottom text should have been upside down, to be consistent with the orientation of the other three texts.

Beautiful... very well composed!
Idea is fine.

Outstanding, nice composition Kathleen.

Lovely composition and very adventurous PP. To be truly romantic I think you need to deal in softer colours - or perhaps thats just my view of romantic!

How original and outstanding. "She loves me, She loves me not". I think of that each time I see a daisy. Why is that? Something romantic about their very existence.
Another successful experiment by the "Princess of Macro".

This is by far the sharpest picture you've posted here. Excellent shot. Very detailed. I don't know about the poem around the frame though. I've got mixed feelings about it.

Excellent work Kat! I love the frame and how the pedals come out of the frame, but I have to agree with Digo about the pedals obscuring the text. Other than that I think you did a wonderful job.

Outstanding Kat! Very, very nice! Ever think of a career with Hallmark? God's best,

Tim

Oooohhh...Kathleen! The image together with your "confused" mood ;)) is really wonderful here :) Love you note and the thought behind your image...maybe that border is not very matching with the all mood...but that doesnt bother me at all...you touched who you wanted for sure! Great job :)

nice pp work and flower!
i agree with frank about placing the bottom text upside down..
anway, nice shot with good colours,contrast,..

Ooh Lala Miss Kathleen! Very romantic indeed. The results are fabulous...Thank you for the always detailed notes. Daisey's are my favorite flower as well :)

Wonderful !

Lovely! Perfect in every way, in my opinion! Position of the flower, color, sharpness - makes me happy just to look at it.
