Hi Daniel,

Well done on the capture.

I believe this site is for sharing and learning. It's not about who does the best at whatever is done. Most people enjoy photography and share their art work and are proud at what they do.
Others, are here to learn about different mediums in photography. Therefore, I'm in agreement with the administrators. I know you had an innocent idea, however, in reality, it's not for here. Others as well, may not like the idea of giving away their addy. There are however, meetings in various cities where Trekers like to hook up with others.

haha... the sad clown. ;) I am disapointed too... I setup an illegal gambling pool to guess the winner of the contest. I had $500 on myself.
I guess your only allowed to complain about points here...

Hi Daniel; I have a personal policy to not give points if you have already 500; so my behaviour would conflict with your contest ;)
I think this picture is a great idea to express your feelings with the happenings here. Very good to go on and find out the boundaries of TL-possibilities.
I also have experiece with the rules here; gives a bad feeling; it's murdering your creativity; so give youself some time to find out again that this is still place for exchange ideas.

Daniel,
I would have to believe it was the offering of prize money. You have to understand that Adam and the Admin. at TL have to draw the line somewhere. This is their web space. You have a right to do anything you want on your personally-paid-for piece of the internet. I pay for high-speed cable and they certainly have restrictions. TL isn't a business and they don't want people here to lose the whole concept of the learning and teaching. I don't really want to discourage you from having contests because it was a GREAT idea. But it had to be the prize money. I can't speak for anyone other than myself. Sorry if I sounded so negative, I just think we should all request a fine definition of the "Explanation of Deleted Sumbissions".
As for the picture. Good DOF, colors. The composition would probably been more interesting if we'd seen the top of your head. I do think it's a pretty good picture and the mirror made it challenging. sorry for the dissapointing look on your face! :)
I'd be interested in a photo challenge if you made one, I don't follow them much. Good luck and cheer up....
