one by one, every stone is a trial...but covered with snow...seems easy..who knows what is inside???what you walk on?
and if the neat ground that comes after is indeed to reach for?

Thank you!

Perfectly SUPERB, INDIGO AWARD, where are you going to put all of them, haha, THANX, M, (*_*)

Hi Kevin,

Hi Kevin,

The snow almost looks like clouds giving the photo a dreamy feeling. Love the shadows on the snow. Excellent lighting and POV. Noticed that the horizon is not quite horizontal. Good effort.

Regards,
Wolbo

Wonderful winter picture, Kevin. Nice composition with good play of light & shadow on the snow. Nice shapes that make me think of people bent to the ground. Very nice B&W with good contrast. Bravo!

P.S. I wish we had snow in Toronto so I could do a bit of winter scene as well but there is nothing...

Good description of technique! Excellent b&w photo - shadow and higlight details, and composition very well done.
Great Job!
Paul

Nice one Kevin! What a wonderful display of the snowy rocks with the stream through them. Very artistically shown and especially so in B&W.
Well done, Janice

Hello Kevin! A wonderful work. Subtlities of lighting, composition that conserves an optimal proportion for the trees in the background, the just necessary sharpeness. Well done, a fantastic shot and pp!

Awesome! The low point of view, the contrasts, sharpness and composition. I like what the red filter does. Well done.

Another great B&W, Kevin! Good composition as well with the horizon in the upper third. This is what I call capturing the light. Well done!

Very nice shot Kevin, well seen.

Steph.

this snow is amazing... so white, so clear...cleansing cream : )
The perspective and the POV are excellent!!

BRAVO! BRAVO!

Excellent capture!
The details and textures are simply awesome, in this very fine composition!

Great capture, you have seen it well and you have done it well too. Thanks for this very good one,

Mario

I can see how this photo relates to the title but I've got a different association. There is this foam used when putting windows in the house. Not sure what it is called but it covers holes between walls and window itself. Not as philosophical as what you had in mind but visually they do look the same. :)

Great work!!!
Katya :)

Hi Kevin.
This is an excellent B&W picture. I enjoy the tender lightning which creates a real mood. I also enjoy the textures, which are fantastic.
Congratulations.
Luci

Hi Kevin,
wow, what a wonderful view from an excellent low POV. I like the glittering in the snow and the phantastic light so much.
Just perfect, thanks

Hi Kevin,
Whoa! This one's great! The snow is just blanketing the ground and smothering the spring out of the plant and trees. (You can tell I'm ready for winter to end, can't you?). ;P I like the form of the snow, too. It's round and soft, and in contrast to the spindly, dark, barky trees. Well seen!
Take care!
Richard

Wonderful value study Kevin. Your b/w work is outstanding. It has a mood which separates it from other photos which are simply desaturated. Well done!

Mmmmm... no clouds, stones or people bending... i think this is one of MY dreams, a cocoa-au-lait river with lots of cream on top!!!!! :)))))
No, it's a very powerful view of untouched snow.
