It seems to me
That I can "tell it can"...

That the beak of the Pelican
Holds much more than his belly can....

*************************************************

This is the clown of our waters standing up that I posted yesterday sitting on the pier post. I'm no rocket scientist, but I still fail to understand how he even balances on that post. And he is sound asleep!! There is nothing in proper perspective about this bird. See his big paddle foot hanging off the post? I hope you can see the prickly hairs on the top of his head. The real beauty of the day of this photo was the awesome cloud formations in the sky....

Tech: Cropped original photo, used dusting tool in MS DI to remove some noise, used unmasking to sharpen image, resized in three steps, framed and signed. I used my attachment telephoto lens (nothing like Brads!!!) just a TCON-14 made for the Oly E10. Also had to use a tripod.

As always, I appreciate all comments and critiques as I am always striving for improvement. I hope those of you who have helped me so much over the past months can see it??....:O)
Thanks!

Very good shot once again. The clouds indeed make a great formation. The frame is refined and sobre. Copyright's still a bit "in your face". Hard to miss.
:)

The colour and the shape of the clouds are making the background special. I like the frame too.

That's awesome Kat! I love it. The background clouds give it a surreal feel. Good job,

Tim

They are funny !
Nice shot again, okay, tomorrow my pelican in a nice pose.....

I agree with the above users. The frame is very nice, fits to the image. The clouds is a pleasant background for the "sleeping" pelecan! Very nice composition Kathleen!

Again great work Kathleen. His beak looks almost the same size if not a little bigger than his stomach.
I would love to see one with the beak full of food, is that possible.
Thanks for a great shot.
Beatrice

*whispering* i will try to not wake him upp!
nice shot of this large mounthed pelican ;o)good compo to!

I really like this second one, Kat. At first I thought the clouds could have been a bit stronger but when I tried that it took away from the subject. Great frame!

Hope life is returning to something like normal,

David

Nefis kompozisyon.Güzel çerçeve.Güzel foto.Selamlar.Şeref.

What I like about this picture is the colors and contrast. The light background with the clouds really bring out that pelican well. The frame you have chosen adds a marine quality to this photo. I think it could make a great stamp with a closer crop.

ps: I agree with Richard's (lacouette) assesment of your copyright (but only because he paid me to say so) ;)

Another great example of what is true of some people.....Mouth biggest part of them! Guess he could be called the "Fishing Boat of the Bird World". What a strange creature and such a good capture of him! You never miss, do you?

Good capture kat, great perspective. This could be a post card.
