Midlake #2 - pulido.

I've decided to post 3 or 4 of the images from the Midlake show I went to. The first was Balloon Maker.

This one is a bit more obscure, but I was off to the right side of the stage where Eric Pulido stands and he had the best light throughout the show.

I really loved the way you just get the essence of him. It seemed like a nice detail that no one else would notice.

I've posted a workshop that has a square crop.

Can't believe I'm the first to comment here... I see a great use of the ambient light, and altough you went with a square format later, this one remains my favorite. The negative space on the right is very important. Nice one, Trey!

trey,
the more I look at this one the more I like it.
I too think it is my favorite. There is so much anticipation here. I really am just waiting for the guy to come into the frame, but seeing I imagine he won't I'm left to imagine and enjoy the colors.

really like it

I know I missed this picture when you first published it and I have been meaning to leave a comment since then but keep forgetting. This a beautiful image and as Pierre said the black space is wonderful. I also like Brady's comment about hoping the guy would take a few step back so we could see him...so this image is very powerful because it evokes lots of different feeling & emotions. Excellent!
