[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken on her 100th birthday (actually day is uncertain) 2 years ago. She became blind after the age of 21 but she can describe colors better than Hemmingway, still to this day. My great grandmother her english is a little hard to understand, but I still love her with all my heart.
You might have seen it before I had this picture on TE I deleted it from there, - I feel it belongs here, from some reason I guess because it looks kind of looks old fashion and "studio-lit".

*In PS7 I cropped it a little, I cleaned the dust and a big scratch on the bottom and brightness/contract on the selected features on her face. I was personally happy about the detail of the flowers on her dress, from the lighting, a -Circurlar Vignette effect-
tell me what you think.

God bless your great grandma, Dave!
You achieved a very, very rich composition. I like the texture of the cloth and the burn framing.
I'd like to see her hands too. Why have you covered them? May be to focus on her face?
I'm learning from your portraits a lot!

Dave, it is a wonderful picture, you certainly did a good job on the PP, I do like the circular vignette, it gives it an old fashioned look.
She still looks quite healthy for 100yrs.
Nice work Dave.

Your PP-work brouhght a very good mood to the photo, the washedout tones and flowers matches well (I only can suppose) the blindness. Also the to-be-guessed chair, the dark background.
Very well done, Dave.

PS: my best wishes to her, and a lot of health

great note Dave. A loved grandmother brings unsurpassed happiness and family history. It has no equal on earth. Cherish her as long as she lives... Afterwards, it is too late and too sad...Believe me:-)) thanks for reminding me of a loved one;-)

Thsi is a wonderfull picture of your great grandmother Dave. A lovley tribute to someone you care deeply for. 100 years, that is an impressive age. Just as Rafa sad, this makes me remember my great grandmother. Even though we never understood eachother, speeking difrent languages, it was still something special about her. Sometimes you just don't need words to know that the affection is ther. Lovley memories when looking at this shot Dave.

This is a magnificent photo, Dave. I like the sepia tone and find it very suitable for just this image. God bless your great grandmother and god bless you for showing your respect and love for her through this picture. It's such a soft and gentle portrait with a special low light around it - I believe this is what causes the vignetting, but the image is so strong I hardly noticed. Very well done - again!

It is a nice picture with a lot of emotions into it. Good PP work. I like the old-feel to it and the vignette that you used. Great portrait.

Very touching scene of your great grandmother Dave...I really like what you did with PS7 to enhance this, already great, image. TFS
