I'm not sure about the colors here. I hope the eye is blue and that the photo has a slight golden tinge to it. If not, attribute it to my colorblindness!

This is my daughter, who is always a good poser. I made a large kaleidescope by taping three mirrors together and was having fun with it. After converting to black and white with the channel mixer, I selected the eye and made it blue (hopefully). It was fun!

The eye is blue all right but no slight golden tinge, at least not on my screen. Very nice idea, I really like the composition.

hypnotic effect, David. I am mesmerised by the blue eye. Good PP.

Yeap, only blue, black and white here. Before reading your note I thought that this effect was built in some software effect. This handmade effect is simply great and makes the photo more valueable. I love it!!!
The eye looks unreal and ads a special toutch to the photo.
Did you used three mirrors or four?? Or am I a bit confused here?
Anyway, this is to me, one of the best photos posted here on TL
I've made a workshop

Hello David,

Very good!! It is amazing you have done this with actual mirrors!
The eye indeed is blue, but the golden tint is not visible. You can add it though, by applying a hint of yellow (in PS: 8-12% in Shadows, using Color Balance).

Your creative imagination in your work never fails to surprise me. The ingenious use of mirrors is wonderful. I like the effect it has created. The blue eye is perfect, and a great shade. Although the rest of the image is showing black and white, and not quite what you had hoped for, it's still very nice.

Wow David! Truly wonderful job...making this kind of compo is always mind chalenger...doing it with the daughter gains a new meaning :) i love it!

This is such an original creation and the fact you used real mirrows is great. I love it and it is beautiful of your daughter. btw, are you really colorblind??

What a lovely way to portray your daughter, David. Her name isn't Daisy, is it, because this flower sure looks like a daisy, and in fact my first idea was that it needs the colours of a daisy. I suspect there will be a workshop or two coming round. A beautiful idea, and very well carried out.

Dear David, both versions work very well. Great method to go back in time and actually do something not digital by using those 3 mirrors :) I like having that very clear face going blurred more and more. That extra spice is added by desaturating with only the blue eye. (btw I don't have a golden tinge just b&w) Great work! Yours, Jan

Très belle composition artistique !

A beautiful picture of a beautiful little girl. What a great idea, very creative. I love the blue eye it is Hypnotic for sure.

Great effect, even without the mirrors this would have been a good portrait, but with them, it's really fun.
To me this represents the inquisitive nature of children; looking in all directions, all paths.

Great art work, nice flower with her nice face!

Hello David,
Excelent PP and a beautiful Kaleidescope eye. Creativity, imagination and a great and interesting work.

Well done!
Fernando

Another creative idea, and a great N&W with blue eye! Her eye is really beautiful here, and I like her expression.

David,
I honestly tell you I am impressed by your gallery! So, you are the author of 'Essence of Speed' photo:) it's one of the first photos I noticed when I joined TL.
I absolutely love this image of your obviously beautiful daughter. It is fantastic conceptual work!
congrats!
Marija

nice effect!
it's cool that the cut-out in the middle is the sharpest
