[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken right outside of Jackson Square in New Orleans, La. Went there for work for a few days and shot a lot that I will be posting, in the days to come.

He looked at me at the right moment and he didn't have a care in the world that I took his photo.
His eyes creeped me out, scary and moving at the same time you can tell he has been through a lot.

What a great potriat Davian. Those eyes...he has many stories to tell that is for sure. Part form the potrait and his expression, the tonality is great. Really good work.

Great mood portrait Dave... I especially like the eyes! And also great DOF and crop.

A nice b/w portrait. I don't see saddness though.

Excellent shot! Your composition is perfect, my eyes are drawn to his every time I look at the image. I was going to suggest that they could be a bit brighter (dodge tool, or try contrast masking), but I don't think that would add anything to the mood of the image. Your focus is spot on, and the amount of detail is excellent. A very sombre and moody capture, very good work :-D

His eyes are so expressive. I really like it in the b & w as well. Very well captured.

Quite an expressive portrait! The DoF and varying tones of b&w are very well captured. Excellent shot of a man with a lifetime of wisdom.

Well done!

Very poignant Davian. The black and white works well, the dof is excellent and it is very sharp and clear. Excellent job.

This is an excellent B&W portrait. It's very sharp and clear. Good sharing.

It is a great portrait...The story that he has can be read from his face (espicially his eyes)

Great portrait shot Davian. Very well captured. He almost looks like a fairy tale or medievil character. Very nice!

He does look very content with his life. Your choice of Black and White was a good one it shows the detail in his face and bierd very well.

Absolutly mysterious expression...

It's an excellent portrait, Dave, and a wonderful composition - very tightly cropped - with the guy off-centered, but with his right shoulder in the frame. He's looking at you - straight into the lens - with his head turned toward you. It's amazing and, as you write, he didn't care... It's a very socio-realistic picture - the kind that win prizes. Very well done!

Really good BW portrait with nice eyes. well done

Very good candid shot. I like the way he is looking directly at the lens. Excellent journalistic style photo. Well done.

Quite a character, and well presented in this portrait. I feel the b/w tones aren't strong enough, i guess i like high contrast stuff but i think there should be a greater tonal range for this shot, and maybe even a tiny bit of noise. Great shot though, well done.

nice portrait, u have right those eyes i'm sure they have so many stories ( i'm afraind sad stories) to tell us.

very unique.

Wow. That's a nice portrait. What's the guy's name? Did you talk to him after you took the shot?

Great!
You have done a wonderful job, Daiven!
His eyes are appealing my attention like magnets! He has something to say...
