I tried for a picture in pciture look here, with imperfect result, but it was fun so I thought I'd post anywho. :D |

This would have worked better for me with a far thinner white border and maybe far less of the far less attractive BW environment. Calls for a good crop IMO.
Having said that, if it was fun to do then that's important. It should always be enjoyable for you.
Frames - as little attractiveness built in as possible should be the general rule. Plain Jane frames will always speak quality.

I like what you have done here! This is a very interesting concept. The mix of B&W with the colour frame works well within this image, Good POV .

Excellent idea! Just a frame around, colors in and B&W out! I like the result! Frame have an interesting inclinaison too!
