A door in my house. ;D Night time. This is a window in the top of my front door. I adjusted the hue and solarized it so it looked more like moonlight than porch light.

Hi again Annetta!
Very good job! Great almost abstract work!

Not happy?
How would you change this to make you happy?
Which EXACT element are you not happy about?
If you isolate the problem, you can deal with it? Now and next time.
If I were to take this given image to WS, I would be sorely tempted to eliminate a lot of the black space and to close in on the coloured component - enlarge it, maximise on it. Even LIFT it, by pulling out more detail.
Maybe you went overboard on the pp, darkening it so much that the interesting detail has been lost?
Let's look at what we have.
A tilted window detail above a door. The design of the window is good enough to show at its best and the tilt adds further interest. Can you post the original so that we may see which direction we MAY have taken to capitalise on the subject?

I have had a play and the result is purely my own alternative. There is nothing to be lost by cropping into known or established shapes. The brain gets really excited when there is a part missing ;)
So, see Ws for an alternative. It will be all down to presentation in the end.

So, the second step in broadening the vision has been taken. It's very scary stuff moving out of your comfort zone but the effort made will provide worthwhile results as each step of the journey is taken.

Now, suprise us all with 'Kids at Play'. Can't be too much of a stretch of the imagination to get that. Then, consider the content, the composition, the crop, the presentation ...

So far ... very interesting!

Nice idea about the moonlight, and good realization of the idea. I like the colors!

Gayle :)
