Mother's day gift

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Okay I know this isn't the best of a portrait.
My mother wanted a portrait of all her grandkids for mother's day. So Yesterday I took it at her house when we were all together.
The sun was bright, the kids didn't want to co-operate. so I'm posting this for the PP achievment involved.
This was the best of most of them, how ever in the original, Ian, in the back left was squinting, so I had to paste his head from another photo. He's looking off to the right but it was his best. It worked with his sister looking where his head was put.
I had to clone out an extra ear, too. LOL I'll post the original in workshop. |

LOL, this looks like all the photos I try to take of all the "grandkids", none of them cooperate except for 1 or 2 at a time. It's a nightmare! Good PP work.

Hi Annetta,
A very nice mother's day gift. Your p.p. work is well done.
As photographers, we must be aware of the light. Not facing your subjects towards the sun will have the eyes open. Here, they are squinting because it's too bright. Finding a shaded area and the use of flash will greatly improve the composition. Clothing, plain shirts with no patterns and pants or plain dresses with no patterns will greatly improve the image. The positioning of the subjects, maybe in a triangular formation would be effective.
Nice work.
Mike
Hi Annetta -
Bravo for the post, I know getting my kids to sit still with cousins is quite a challenge.
Great pp work, nice pasting of Ian.

Hi friend,
great shot they are so cute!
I LIKE this shot! The pose are so beautiful!
thanks Ana:)
No reason why a 'family album' shot can't be 'commissioned' by the VIP member and you filled the brief OK, with the added environment also being OK for this kind of presentation.
Yes, there is a better presentation to be had, even here, with a much tighter crop BUT, if GrandMa is happy, that is what is important.
Dodgy parts: Full glare of sunshine directly into eyes makes for screwed up eyes and weird expressions, see young man extreme right as just one example. Small girl bottom left - looks like she is in pain yet bravely smiling through the agony.
Harsh words but all designed to trigger your mind in time for the next one. At least they all sat there and didn't complain/rush off without warning ;)
