[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Big Laurel Falls, in the Standing Indian basin, Southern Nantahala Wilderness. This entire area is beautiful. Having just crossed over the Georgia-NC line, the Appalachian Trail makes over a 200-degree arc around the ridgeline of the basin, and with a spiderweb network of side trails down into the basin, there are a lot of great hiking opportunities here. Fall is especially kind to the Standing Indian area.

During law school, when I first became interested in photography, I spent almost every weekend in the Appalachians, hunting for new waterfalls during the day and falling asleep listening to "A Prairie Home Companion" on Saturday night. As this is one of my absolute favorite photos from that time, it's only appropriate that this be the first photo I add here.

Beautiful shot. Your exposuire setting may be too long. I'd suggest something maybe like 1/4.

All in all though, a 2 pointer lol. TFS.

i absolutely love this photo!!!!And I agree with you , this is my favorite photo of yours.Great Job Christian!!!All of the colours are so bright and beautiful,:):):):):):)

I think the longer exposure setting on this image gave a nice dreamy to the water. A little soft on the right bottom corner but that is not to bad!

Well done love the image!

A beautiful, colorful shot. Only suggestion would be to put a border around it...submit it for a Calendar page! Very peaceful. Technique is fantastic!
