Yellowstone Falls and Tree
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is taken from Artist Point looking at Yellowstone Falls. Like my last posting, I have recently been intrigued by the contrasting textures between surfaces, especially when compressed by a telephoto lens. In this case I liked the hard rock agasinst the smooth water, and especially this tough tree.
PP: Cropped (I can't get quite this tight with my 200mm), resized, and framed. |

Interesting perspective! Scale is always a great subject to play with. I agree with the combination of textures it really works well here!

Bonsoir.
Très belle image de cette impressionnate cascade !
Wow, I really like this shot too Mike. It's so atmospheric and the lighting is awesome. Very sharp and I like how you froze the water in contrast to the hundreds of longer exposure shots. It really shows the power of the water.
Thanks a lot for sharing,
Phil
