Achromatic Transition

Sunset in the badlands. This brief moment of entrancing color was a fitting end to a long day of pushing through wilderness in the rain.
On a grey day in western North Dakota, one could almost swear that the whole world didn't have any color at all. But give that day a sunset, and one could then say that the world has never before appeared this beautiful.
Mako Sica is a place of constant transition.
If only we could be like water...

Lovely scene of the Badlands. To think all that was once under sea water. Lovely warm lighting.
I love the badlands, this photo brings back great memories!
