Sunset in the badlands. This brief moment of entrancing color was a fitting end to a long day of pushing through wilderness in the rain.

On a grey day in western North Dakota, one could almost swear that the whole world didn't have any color at all. But give that day a sunset, and one could then say that the world has never before appeared this beautiful.

Mako Sica is a place of constant transition.

If only we could be like water...
