| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Large orb spider known as Argiope aurantia found in southern US. Good camera subjects since they don't see very well. This must be a female since the males don't grow very big.
It's also called a zipper spider for the characteristic zigzag pattern in the web called a stabilimenta.
Cropped, framed, USM and saved for web. |

Belle capture! Précision. netteté, et luminosité: superbe cette araignée. Bravo!
Bye, Jacques
Good sharp and clean shot! Beautiful creature, well captured!
I really do not like spiders of any kind, but this is a great picture. The colours, compostion and sharpness grabbed my attention in the thumbnail, and I came for a closer look. Good job Greg.

Excellent image Greg, just one comment: Don't you think that the patch of pink, probably a flower petal distracts from your subject? If it were me I would clone it out to green
This is a beautiful (although creepy) photo. The clarity of the web and spider are great. Nice colors, lighting and composition. I love hte zipper web pattern! Nice shot. JP
