Happy Birthday, Uncle Sam!

Taken at Normandale Lake (part of Hyland Lake Park Reserve in Bloomington, Minnesota) the day before the 4th of July. It's an early celebration of the 4th for people that have to get up to go to work on the 5th. I couldn't decide which one was the best so I did a montage, my first. Tell me, should I have chosen just one? And, if so, which one?

Manual Focus; Exposure mode Auto; Exposure Program Normal; ISO 3200; Focal Length 28 mm; Focal Length in 35mm Film 42 mm; hand held.

Nice montage, Lois. Let's hear it for Bloomington for jumping the gun -- a wonderful advantage for photographers! As for shot, I like them all, but I think I like the bottom left best, better color and multiple bursts.

Good job!
They are all very nice, but the one in the left upper corner and the one in the right lower corner are to tight crop. Maybe they would be better alone. Like the one in the upper right corner the best. But again they are all very good!

Hi Lois!
I'm glad you are back!
In my opinion if you have choosen just one of this fireworks it would be more obvious the noise (it must be some on ISO 3200). But it has helped to make a hand hold picture. I've tried several times with max. ISO 400 , and never got a decent photo. Waiting now my new oportunity! :)
If you force me to choose one, it would be the third one.

Ejla

Hi Lois!

Missed yours . Too many firworks these days .... (*_^) on the web! Pretty Neat montage with these various colors and shapes . A nice show it was indeed looking at those!
Glad to see you are back on line !
Cheers!

Hi Lois - Long time no see. How have you been? I like your montage for the various colours . At the same time I wouldn't mind seeing one of them, e.g. the upper right, by itself in a workshop, if possible? - Cheers, Cordelia :)
