I have enjoyed your Nevada City series. This is another nice sharp, well composed image. I suspect you are quite satisfied with your new camera and lens!

I want more info on your portraits, like what mode did you shoot in (Av or P etc)? They are so great.

A very unique still life, Niek! Sort of a still life meets American Gothic! Nicely seens and recorded. The details realy make the shot -- the sign, the plaster-filled logs, the shovels. Nicely recorded addition to your series.

Nice composition, very tight, just showing the essential. The sign is unfortunately a bit washed out by the light. Still, a very nice image, a good testimony of the place.

Hi Niek,
Great shot. I really like the textures and patterns of old material - wood, metal etc.
The sign is a bit pale and you could probably fix that with the burn tool (or is the dodge? - I always get them mixed up).

Just been going through your gallery seeing the pictures I have missed while away and just missed for some other reasons. This one is quite a lot of fun. I really like the composition and the sign is a very essential addition. I might have liked a tiny bit more space at the bottom as the spade seems to be resting on the frame but that is a very minor details. Well done!
