[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I love old, weathered fences and structures and there are plenty to be seen in Grand Teton National Park. I love the human scale of man made fences. I love all the different patterns of them; the wood, the nails/pegs, saw/ax cuts etc. I find in them a personal connection with the person who built them.

Yes, Niek, I used my old camera. I had the 5 pound lens on the Canon and wanted to take some quick hand held shots.

Tjee Evelynn,
Now I am mentioned in two of your notes at one day. I am honored. Somebody told me that the quality of the camera doesn't make the photo, it is the eye of the photographer. SO I guess that even with a disposable camera you would come up with this kind of beauty. I too love the old, especially when it is surrounded by natural beauty. I like the way you've composed this photo with the fence leading the eye toward the center pole, which is positioned perfectly. The colors and the shadows are beautiful and so is the wideness of the b/g
TFS,
Niek

Very nice light in this picture, Evelynn, and the fences are a nice foreground to the beautiful lanscape in the background. Nice play of light & shadows. Well done!

Hi Evelynn
Well spotted here, a nice photo of a simple subject. Often we have so much nice subjects right under our noses.. Your colours and sharpness are also very good

points to come later^_^

I also have some special "feelings" for old weathered wooden structurs...nice composition and the closeup of the fence...

What I like in this one is the tree in the background between the two post of the fence. I like the shades too. I wounder if one of the shades is from you standing to take the picture?
