Another photo taken at Ming Court. Outside the restaurant are ponds full of koi fish waiting to be fed. When someone buys some food, they literally crawl all over each other to get to the pellets.
See Orme's fisherman's dream for more notes on this phenomenon - and by the way, Andrew posted his much nicer koi fish photo the same day I took these photos of koi fish and -ahem- intended to post that day. :o) I am posting this one anyway because of the motion showing the fast movement of the fish and because it shows one fish actually sliding out on top of the others.
I did crop this to get an area of high concentration of fish. I think this one could be brighter, but I'm always to afraid to experiment too much. I posted my experiments to workshop - Please check that photo too.
Comments and workshops highly appreciated.

Hi Michelle, I like how you captured the chaos and motion here. The one fish on top of the others works well for the composition. I like your framing too. Good work :-)
very powerful shot michelle;-) i like it and it is very eye catching;-)) colors are great and I like this hectic mess of the fish wanting the food;-) As for the ws, I must admit that i prefer the original. The softer aspect works well for this shot and the sharpening takes away some of its charm fir me;-) nice try!
Wow! Big confusion! Great shot.
Great shot, Michelle. I like the way you captured the fish 'flapping' across the top of the others. I think I like your WS more, because you sharpened it. Very well done. Thank you for the link.
I did a WS to bring out the colours more and remove the white in the bottom left corner.

Ooh, very nice and surprising shot Michelle. it's really crammed with fish. I wish there was at least a sharp area, though the motion blur adds to the feeding frenzy sense.
Maybe better if you had kept that slow shutter speed but also flashed them, taking care of setting a flash under exposure beforehand.
My two points for keeping on experimenting !
Wow, it's a wonder they don't eat eachother as well in the mad rush, this is a very dramatic action shot, I must confess IMO this photo is just great as it is.
Well done.
