| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Just another warm summer afternoon; out in the countryside waiting for a thunderstorm.
All those trees you see were planted by men, there was a time in this part of the state where land was free if a person planted a certain number of trees per acre.
There is a sign on a country road saying, "Welcome to Grand Forks County: Home of the World's Highest Concentration of Shelter Belts."
Yup, there's a lot to see here. |

Hi Brian,
I just can't take my eyes away from al the beautiful trees and tropical flowers (Chuckle) The open space with this one very old house is beautiful. It reminds me of my vacation in Montana, but only less flat. Great composition and colors. Looks like you got some rain soon after you took this photo.
TFS,
Niek
gotta love the shelter belts...anything good in this house or was it an empty shell like so many out there...great color saturation...i like the contrast within the sky...hopefully i can get out there one more time before you move back...peace***

The house has a nice view but needs a bit of work :)
Lovely composition, great sense of space and lovely colours
Ok...what is a "shelter belt" ?
I like this shot a lot. The lighting on the ground and old house is wonderful. One can feel the electricity in the air and feel the warm breeze. Very nice simple composition.

Beautiful landscape picture! I like the cloud formations and the field. You placed the barn in the image perfectly.
Thanks for sharing!
Pierre
Very nice Brian!
The light on the field and house is beautiful under the ominous sky. The colors are great! I really love your notes as well. Nicely done Brian!
