[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In my previous post, I mentioned that it was a cloudy day, and that I forgot to reset my camera from the -1EV. Well, this is the reason why.

This day, I watched a storm develop over the mountains and in the evening I made severall photos of the beautiful colored sky and ominous looking cloud formation. Most of the photos I made are posted on my TrekNature site, but I wanted to show you a few too.

Tech Talk: Shot in RAW with -1.3EV and converted to JPEG. No changes made to white balance or colors. Just a tad more contrast and shrapness.

Interesting how a little mistake can turn out to your advantage! Actually, I always under-expose when shooting around sunrise or sunset... Nice composition, with the vista opening up in the middle, framed by the trees on both sides. Well done!

Great nature shot you caught the granduer style and might of the west!

You captured the nice glow of evening here Niek. I can't tell from your note whether this was intentionally underexposed or not. It does feel a little darker than I imagine the scene would have been. It is nice though. Thanks for sharing it.

Hi Niek,
This mistake gives a very special mood to this photo. In particular, to the sky. I like it very much because that points out to me the images of old encyclopaedia where we learn the world before seeing it. Very well done! Annie

This is a fine composition, where the two groups of trees are nicely used for framing our view to the mountains in a distance!

Love the strange orangje color over the picture. It is very weird. But I like it and I must say very well done. Picture is very sharp and composition is marvelous.

Hello Niek...it has only been in the last week or so that my camera has been set to anything but Auto. I have been playing with EV and I am astounded at the difference that alone can make. Delightful landscape, beautiful light and shadow. TFS,
