At the Pacific End of the World War II Memorial in Washington DC, this is the main structure, a tower commemorating the Pacific US territories that fought in WWII.
Within the walls of this structure four American Eagles in bronze hold a suspended Laurel Wreath. It is too impressive to put into words. If you are in this part of the country and are visiting the nation's capital, at least a half hour's stop at this monumental site, halfway between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washinton Monument, is a "must do"!
I don't believe the falsh went off, but I acutally like the austere effect this has. No filtres. No cropping. No pp work. One tower. |
