| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took this last Friday morning, around 6:30 am, from the marina docks in Grand Portage, Minnesota.
I absolutely love this part of the country, and it's mornings like this in particular that make me question my decision to move to such an empty, barren place as North Dakota.
From here, it was a 10.5-mile backpacking expedition up the Grand Portage trail to the Pidgeon River, whose other shore is Canadian soil. From the old site of Fort Charolette, we headed through the reservation forest to our campsite; which was settled on top of a spectacular waterfall.
I will post more photos from this trip very soon. |

Well Done
Chris
Hi Brian... I am sure North Dakota will offer you challenges regarding your photography. This is a lovely shot, excellent POV, good clean colour and fine focus.
David
Hi Brian,
I love the way the fog is still haning in between the mountains. The low sunlight gave this photo some beautiful colors and a really pleasant view. Great composition with good FG interest.
TFS,
Niek
