[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This terrain feature is located in the Valley of Fire State Park north of Las Vegas. I snapped this photo from the window of our SUV after a morning of ATV riding. It was a very bright day and I used the automatic exposure setting, UV and polarizing filters and Photoworks 200 ASA film. I edited using Photoshop Elements by decreasing brightness, increasing contrast, the noise filter and adding just a little red to regain the rock color washed out by the sun.

Hi Robert,

Very interesting rock formation. The composition and POV are excellent. Amazing colors as well. TFS

Bonjour Robert,
Amusant cette composition. La nature à elle aussi du talent. Juste dommage le bruit dans le ciel.
Bonne continuation.
Michel

Hi Rob,

This is an amazing site--I definitely want to put it on my list of things to see if I make it there in March '07.
Great job on the colors, and I like the POV. I'm wondering if perhaps the back leg got cropped, or if there was a tail. . .
All the best,
Karen

Hello Robert,

So nice to see how the rocks take shapes with nature act.

Nicely captured, and beautiful colors. TFS
