| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Taken in 2001, this was one of my first ever digital photos, taken on an old Kodak camera that I had bought cheap on ebay. It was so old, it was bigger than some video cameras today! The photo quality it produced was pretty pathetic, but I think I might have managed to rescue this one with some PP.
I was visiting the home of a friend's grandmother for a traditional southern Sunday dinner, complete with aunts, uncles, and cousins... a big friendly Italian-American family. After the meal I was having fun interacting with the kids when the youngest came shyly to the door and looked out, trying to decide if she should join us even though she didn't know me.
A moment later she was outside having fun and being goofy with the others, but I like the moment of this picture, with the mix of curiosity and shyness. |
