Kalmar Nyckel Under Sail
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This is another photograph of the Kalmar Nyckel but under sail. We were in an inflatable dingy (Zodiak) and this POV is about a foot off the water. I used both UV and polarizing filters and Photoworks 200 ASA film. I didn't note the exposure settings.
I had to brighten the shadows about 75% because the ship was so underexposed. I really wanted the evening sky to be clearly visible. I didn't adjust the color at all but filtered out considerable noise. Other exposures on this roll don't have the same color hues. This was an experiment, so I would really appreciate feedback. Thanks. |

Looks almost surreal dreamy of nauticle days for yore!
the treatment of pictures is unimportant to me, i just love this one.
its like a painting. great.
Hello Robert,
This is a very nice composition and POV with this unusual subject. I guess that all this noise comes from the under-exposition you had. It gives the picture an interesting effect after all. Well seen and TFS,
Claudine
