[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an abandon old barn that sits along state route 16 just outside of Hillsboro, Illinois. I really enjoy taking photographs of them. I have started to build a portfolio of shots on these disappearing icons from the landscape.

I loved the soft warm tones of the twilight setting sun here. This old barn is also on the twilight of its very existence.

Hello Scott,
I like the light hitting the old builing, nice composition.

I did add a workshop in sepia.

Hello Scott,
this old barn is not so interesting by itself, but the wood looks special in the twilight.
Nice image:)

Hello Scott,
Looks like this old construction has seen better days!
There are quite a few of them here in Norway too, making good subjects for photography but with a sad atmosphere...
Interesting light and fine details!

Hi Scott,
I agree with the beauty of the old barns. They are great icons of the past. I am sure that you are going to have a blast when you visit the west....so many old barns and ghost towns. The warm lighting reall helped to give this photo the beautiful look.

Hi Scott,
Great photo and idea... Its sad to think that one day that barn was someones pride and joy!
I have one in town I wanted to take a photo of but the bulldozers beat me to it! :)
thanks for sharing

Tricia

This is great, Scott, just loved it! Nothing to improve but maybe just a hint of sharpness!

Scott,
I like the quality of light you have captured.
It's just soft enough to to remind me of twilight, which this barn has seen thousands of. I also like seeing the glow of light on the trusses in the hay-loft opening. the transparency of the barn also gives it great textures. I am not sure about the workshop in sepia because it looks like a completely different barn. Good job capturing subtle lighting.

Hi Scott,
A lovely capture of a neglected barn, and while I like the sepia WS version, IMO the colors of the late-day sunlight and shadows make this shot.
Hope this one isn't in line for one of your "burns!"
All the best,
Karen

Well composed shot and description.
This is something I want to get more shots of. Old buildings. I have friends and family keeping an eye out for all of them.
I really like the soft setting sun of this shot. It is almost as if it makes the old barn glow. You captured the mood well here.
