Great work, what did you do to it Linda? Yes well I suppose is also because they are blood vessels of sap for the photosythesis system? (Not sure about spelling.)

Nice composition. Did you change the color here or was this the way the shot was originally...

It's definitely a beautiful image. Not too bright and not too dark. Just cold autumn tones. Like it very much!
