Gridlock on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge has for years been a source of frustration for Washington, D.C. commuters, and a new bridge over the Potomac River is under construction. More than half-way through the project, it is under budget and ahead of schedule. It appears that workers have opted to wish us a merry Christmas by placing a tree atop the new observation tower. Information about the bridge construction project can be found at www.wilsonbridge.com. In the center, lower part of the shot the George Washington Masonic National Memorial is visible in Alexandria, Virginia (http://www.gwmemorial.org/).

PP Work—rotated, sharpened, adjusted midtones (-40), contrast (15), and gamma levels to (0.8), I believe. Oh, and I couldn’t resist adding some colored lights and a star to the white lights that already existed on the tree. Sorry about the windshield reflections.

Karen,
Under budget and ahead of schedule? WHAT? That aint supposed to happen... ;)
I can forgive the windshield reflections....because you left a link where I could learn about the bridge. Good notes!

P.S. Merry Christmas.

There is something wrong with this. under budget and ahead of schedule are unknown terms in the construction business :-). They probably forgot something. :-)

I know, they lost their levels, so that's why it is slanted :-)

Nice shot and very thoughtful of the workers.

Merry Christmas
Pierre
