[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
China Camp State Park boarders San Pablo Bay just across the way from Oakland, California. It's home to protected salt marshes and miles of hiking. This view is to the north as Rat Rock Island stands guard in the distance.

This is one of my first attempts using ND grad filters. This shot features a .6 and .9 stop ND grad stacked together in order to maintain balance between the foreground and sky.

PP: Levels, saturation, and USM

PS: Just noticed that I neglected to correct the horizon. I will post the correction to WS.

Hi Mike,

That's a beautiful landscape picture.
I love the different colours and you took it from an excellent point of view.
Great shot!
TFS

Greetings, Nel

Lovely seascape Mike, good sharpness and detail.
I love the sky reflectimg on the rocks.
Great shot. Regards Mark

Hi Mike,
What a beautiful moody photo. The soft warm colors of the setting sun are beautiful. A great composed photo, with good FG interest and some stong leadlines. Colors and exposure are perfect. I just feel this photo needs a rotation to the left.
TFS,
Niek

Sorry, just read your note...need to do that first.

Hello Mike,

Nice land/seascape shot you have here, not only you have captured the little "pools" but also the beauty around it. Colours especially warm, nice and gentle, your ND filter work very well here, good pov, even a bit tilted still an excellent work.

Thanks for sharing,

Cheers,
Sweety

Hi Mike
nice colors an nice pov with the isolated island.

Lucian.

This is fantastic, Mike, great pov, dof and compo. Love the color-washing effect here like another photo I've seen, maybe even here, called 'God's Painting.'

Wow, beautiful colours and sharpness. The filter has done an excellent job here and delivered some exquisite results.
Great work

Beautiful colors and composition. Yes, the horizon...

I just love how the green works against the red colors in the rocks and sky. The foreground and background subjects also work very well together. Great shot.

Hi Mike
Very good colours. I like the red in the sky and the green on the rocks. I do prefer your workshop. TFS.

Hi Mike,
This is an awesome image!
The lighting in the foreground is absolutely superb, as is the colour and detail.
Very well composed image but yes the horizon being straighter would really make it!
Thanks,
b.
PS: Just had a look at the workshop, I would try to get the little island in the distance to be level, the horizon will correct itself. The little island in the workshop seems to be leaning to much to the left in the WS version. I would suggest this as the little island is a more dominant element and your eye is drawn to this.

Very nice! Great location and time of day to shoot. Awesome colors and I think you have a pretty nice and moving comp.

Great light. Very sharp quality landscape.

Cheers

Ben.

Hi Mike,

What unusual colours, the cloud formation is just beautiful. TFS

Hi Mike... Wonderful, and perfect composition in colors.
Congratulations, George

Wow Mike, even if those are not "true" colors, the effect is great; kind of magical. Nice to know there's someone in the bay area who appreciates the wealth of beauty around here.

in boca a lupo! (good luck!)
