[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"May God be with you until we meet again." My 81 year old daddy and my son Phil say an emotional good-bye in the airport as Phil departed back to Baghdad, Iraq in August.

You see, emotions ran deeply for my father since 62 years earlier, when he was roughly the same age as Phil and departing from this same town, his family said good-bye to him as he went off to war in WWII.

He survived being shot in the head in France and was one of just a few in his company taken alive as prisoner of war since most of his fellow soldiers in his company were killed that same day. After recovering from his wounds, he served in a concentration camp as a POW in Munich, Germany until freed by his fellow soldiers at war's end.

So you see, this was a very difficult "good-bye" for my pa and my son! They both trusted (and still trust) the same God, to protect and bring Phil home again just as He did my father in 1945. And yes, so do I.

It would have been a difficuly 'good-bye' for you too Tim. But oh the help we have in putting our loved ones in the Hands of One who cares.

Dearest Tim,
I don't know. Am I seeing the same reflection of yourself, on his face? Seeing him Tim, is seeing your own emotion and hope, my dear friend Tim. Make it a point and your prayer, to get this same composition, on the day, Phil is back. Coming home, just like his grand did, well over 40 years ago.
This is my prayer.
