Wow, that's a heart-grabber, Renee! Hope she's ok!?? Great picture and such a beautiful little child, reminds me of many of my students. Take care and TFS. Good pov.

Nicely done! love the background...but I would suggest that the girl should not be looking at the camera...maybe seating and pretends that she is crying...

Welcome to TL !

Great first photo here.

thanks for sharing,

Welcome on TL Renee,

Good compo! I like how she looks direct to the camera and that lighted window in background together with the light spots on wall adds a special effect; it looks like a movie scene.
P.S. It is recommended the subject watching out of frame but not always applicable; like the rule of thirds…

Very good photo. Well done.

Welcome to TL.

Welcome to TL, Renee, and very nice first post! The B&W works especially well for this, muting some of the distracting detail and helping to draw the eye instantly to the little girl. The lines and cropping in the picture also support your composition.

For a first picture, it looks really nice, congratulations

Excellent portrait. Very moving with excellent soft focus. Well suited for B&W.

TFS,
David

love this mood comp here :)
the child has a kind of sad/moody look on her face, i think it works very well in this photo :)
