Dirt Late Models chargin hard out of turn 4 at Hagerstown Speedway. These cars are powered by over 700HP engines running on alcahol or racing gas and can make it around the half mile oval in as little 20 seconds or so. It's quite exciting and is a great way to spend a Friday night.

Great action shot Ned! I love the sense of speed and your composition is very effective here, especially with the inside car just kind of "peeking" into the frame. Looks like there's plenty of daylight underneath the left front of the #90 car - very cool!

Hagerstown has a great reputation, but I've never been able to make it there. In my younger days, I wrote for Gater Racing News out of Syracuse, and covered mostly NY tracks.

Check out my gallery if you get a chance - I've posted a few racing shots, including some dirt modifieds.

Cheers,
- Bob

Hi Ned
Great Action shot of the Speedway car (grand nationals we call that class in oz)
You have captured this shot well, showing the twist of the car through the torque of those high powered adrenaline machines. TFS

Cheers
Lance
