Light through blinds always work pretty well. Yours is well done, with a good contrast. The only thing i don't like is the blue eye but it's really personal. If you wanna check, have 2 pictures like that in my gallery.

Great composition Wade with the light punching through the blinds. The exposure looks like it has been nailed as there is detail in both the highlights and the shadows......IMO i would have left the eyes in B&W....as the image doesnt really need it. Thanks for sharing.

This shot is very good ! I liked your portfolio, But I liked more this one. The composition is perfect, the luminosity too, the right choose of the B&W with the eyes in colour and finally your daughter is a nice model. Well done and goo eye to compose this.
