"All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players. They have their exits and their entrances . . . " and sometimes they wind up in a puddle of water on 89th Street.

I'm not the biggest fan of Shakespeare, but this one sonnet fits perfect with the photo, so I can only say "wow, well seen"!!
The reflections in the water almost provide for a little holder for the mask, and the person's feet on the left add a touch of reality to the world of the mask in its little puddle in the middle of the dynamic street.
Great one, Hugh!

Like the idea, but find the WS more to my liking.

Very cool capture - great use of the available light, good sharpness and excellent composition. Small details work very well here - the unidentifiable rubbish in the puddle near the mask, the manhole cover in the near-distance, and the reflected stop-light in the water.
Great work, I like this one!

Hi Hugh,
And life's but a walking shadow...
Very shakespearian composition...I appreciate especially the golden tones of that theater and the reflections on the water, it's wonderful!

Hi Hugh,
Hahaha, I heard this statement from a Nokia advertisement lately and it really reflects what you want to portray in your picture. Great idea Hugh, I like it. Very good composition and the lighting is very dramatic.

Joel

Hugh,
Good timely capture. I like the way you use the night to capture even decisive moments. Most people only use the night to capture colorful motion lights and skylines. I like the moody you have created here as well as some "Rush" lyrics on the notes. I know it was probably someone else that said "All the worlds a stage" but I liked when Rush sang it!
well done,
Scott
