[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little tributary is located in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. This is actually a cropped view (almost 1/3 of the total original photo, see workshop for original.)
I took this one morning just to find a bit of peace and tranquility in my hectic life.
Technicals include: cloudy and overcast morning. Trusty tripod (never leaves the van now), ND4, Linear Polarizer, and UV filter.
Approx 1 1/3 second shutter speed.
Hand held remote to keep my shaky hands from messing it up. Saturation x1. Cropped (alot), resized for TL.

Please understand I want to continue to enjoy my photos more than the points I receive.
I will try to visit your photos as my time will allow. But for now I am extremly limited for my time. Please be patient with me.
Just remember the photo and the experience at the moment of the photo is what it all breaks down to in the end. If I can just get one person to feel what I felt when I took a particular photo, to hear the rushing water, to feel the cold mist upon your face, to live in my moment that I have brought to you...then to me I have suceeded.
In all my photos I am striving for the truly honest photo. With the barest minimum of post processing. (nature doesnt postprocess when we photograph her). With the exception of a possible increase in saturation I will only be resizing or cropping the photo.

And most importantly of all...... THANK YOU for taking the time to visit my photo. And should you feel drawn to leave a comment or critique....Please feel free and know they are all appreciated.
Thank you.
James

Hi James!
Very creative usig the long shutter speed.
I like it,very good photo.
Regards.
Cezar

Very nice image, good composition and POV.
I like the textures of the rocks and water. The long shutter speed nakes the water look softer, especially against the rocks.

You have captured many things in great detail like the moss on the rock, the roots of the tree and the greenery on the side.

Well done, TFS Tracey

Hi James,
This is really a nice scenic waterfall, The color composition and the POV are perfect.

TFS,
Hong

Hi James
Yes it is tranquil. A stream falling over rocks. Very good shot. Very well exposed. The water is better using slow shutter speeds. Thank you for your note and the workshop it is well worthwhile seeing what can be done with small portions of our images. Well done.
Mike

Hello James

Wow... this is an excellent shot. I like the array of colours and the effect from the slow shutter speed. Beautiful! :-)

Hi James,

Nicely captured and well done on the comp.
I noticed you are stuck on the horizontal presentation. Don't be afraid of the vertical presentation.
This one works in V. as in w.s.

Mike

It is at times like this that I realise I have so much to learn about why I want to do photography and I appreciate the fact that you have found peace in it. Thanks for sharing another great one!
