Here is another experiment with colors. This is a shot from my balcony. I feel very lucky to have such an awesome view and see the sunrise from sitting on the couche having breakfast. Of course it's not quiet this color.
San Pedro is a major port in Los Angeles county with all types of people.
To see the actual picture which is posted on TE click here.

Photoshop:
cropped, sharpened and used channel mixer to get this colors.

Regards,

Skye

i am so jealous, Skye...you get this view everyday while having breakfast? it's beautiful...the color change u did made it look surreal..i like the rays shining through and the silhoutte too. well done!

I like this very much the color is gentle but I think I like the original better. There is nothing wrong with this one just my opinion, thanks for sharing.

skye this is awesome, I like the ppl tone as well as the scene, well done!

beautiful pic. if this is the view you have from your living room, then life must be pretty good. as far as the color mixing. it can be alot of fun and enhance your photos greatly. i understand where you are going with this color but i think it was just over done. color adjustment is best when it is subtle. too heavy handed and it overwhelms the photo. a neat trick i've learned is to take a photo in black and white, or just desaturate the original color photo. the add a light touch of blue. just a bit. it gives the black color more depth. looking forward to more of your photos!

Very well in this tone, great work and mood, very nice composed with a great POV,amazing result you managed in pp,nicely done, great effect, nice one,Skye,I like it.

What a lovely view you have. I like the idea of the purple color, it's just a little too much. But you never know until you try. Nicely framed as well.

This is a very nice photo Skye!
The colour is perfect and the framing is very good. To be honest with you, I prefer the original photo, because the sky looked warmer and sweeter. But this is very nice, too. And your idea to try channel mixer was clever.
Well done & TFS.
