Oh, when the sun, (oh when the sun) refuse to shine (refuse to shine), oh when the sun refuse to shine. I want to be in that number, when the sun refuse to shine.

hi hugh

i actually prefer the te shot to this one. this one is less dynamic to me. it's interesting to see their colour in the midst of grey though...

Hey Hugh! Excellent shot of music and passion here. I really like the title of the shot. Although I like the use of the slower shutter speed to show the moving subway train in the background, which adds as a nice contrast to these musicians, I would have like to see the blurred movement of the musicians' hands closer up. The musician with the washboard is a little too close to the center. Good use of very difficult lighting though and I like the poses and POV. My favorite out of the three photos had to be the "Washboard West Four" on the TrekEarth sit since it really shows their emotion and passion singing and playing the music. TFS!

Nice everyday shot in major cities.Nice compo thanks for sharing.

Just ... nice.

Good capture, good note. Good touch to include the moving subway train.

Well done my friend

I remember scenes like this so well. You have captured the scene beautifully and with sensiivity. The blurred train in the background, the waiting commuter, all add to the feeling of immediacy and also - indifference.

Is this the actual way they were singing the song or is it also part of yor fantasy?
I like the one in the workshop too, where the people have lined up so well to cast a look at the musicians.
Not to mention the creativity they have to use a washboard in the subway for reasons other than washing.
Great photo! Or great series, should I say.
Seems like the subway isn't all that frustrating, after all!
