[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
"The idea of God in the religions taught at present is a sublimation of that old concept of the gods. Its anthropomorphic character is shown, for instance, by the fact that men appeal to the Divine Being in prayers and plead for the fulfillment of their wishes.
Nobody, certainly, will deny that the idea of the existence of an omnipotent, just, and omnibeneficent personal God is able to accord man solace, help, and guidance; also, by virtue of its simplicity it is accessible to the most undeveloped mind. But, on the other hand, there are decisive weaknesses attached to this idea in itself, which have been painfully felt since the beginning of history."

hello Hugh,
interesting POV - resulting in nice perspective.
Good use of lines ;-)
best regards, Daniel

Hey Hugh!
This is a nice motive.
I like the colours and sharpness.
Well done!

Patrick

Hi Hugh, great shot and narrative. I like the way the people seem to be just walking on by, oblivious to the words, modern life I guess??? I'm not deeply religious but biblical phrases pack a punch.
Love your POV and use of wide angle here, the white tiles on the wall are crisp and reflective, good shot,
TFS, Neil.

hi Hugh,

Great point of view. I like the one in the ws with the movement. They really mean it !!!
greetings, inn

The POV is perfect. The colors are great. And I like the note. Clever chap this Einstein was.

Good idea. Good approach. Good exposure in a difficult situation.
Salil

Excellent note, good POV. The idea of God almost seems an anachronism in our time, and yet it is still a powerful motivating factor in conflict today.
Nice work as always

The image has been taken from a good point of view and the commentary note is really thoughtful. I have a hypothesis which I shall testify by research in the days to come. In contemporary era, the religion is being used to derive commercial advantages - unlike in the past century when it was used for politics.

Good shot Hugh along with a well written note. Well done, thanks for sharing it.

Hi Hugh,
Such a "message" in the subway seems so...American! Forgive me to take such a liberty, I'm always amazed with the places where God finds to express in the United States...in my opinion, it's a private matter and I'm stunned to see things like advertisement about it...My opinion is maybe due to an old French law (a century ago) that separates state and religion so that religion do not occupy any more the public places.
I like your low point of view and your quotation of Einstein that questions the idea of god itself...
Mary

I like this very much, Hugh - superb POV, well done on getting down for the shot, far more effective result.

The lines in the image are great - on the walls and floor - leading the eye to the steps where the lines of the lights take over.

Very good shot, well thought out and composed.
