[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I picked this rock up on the California coast...Encinitas...Leucadia...right near the 'wooden steps'. I collect rocks from many of the places I go. They each are silent messages to me about the places I have been and the the memories I have made there. This one I use on my desk as a paperweight. It speaks to me of a quiet strength.

once again, window light...very narrow depth of field to blur out the background.

Neat image. Good comp. The blurred bg has the feeling of something there and about to happen.

Hi Karie,
This reminds me of a radio discussion I listened to this week. Apparently Dave Gorman is a rock balancer and at first I thought this was one of those...its not but its still very Zen. I Like it, especially the blurr.

I have a rock just like this! Great subject for a simple yet profound image. It has a quiet yet strong energy about it. Nice work:)
