[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is Moses. Because the trains are so irregular and undependable in New York City, the people get very agitated. His soothing music calms the air. I told him he was performing a public service, and that the city should put one of him on every platform. He said that it was interesting that I should say that and showed me an inspirational quote that he had printed on the back of his "Thank You" card. "There's something so amazing about music; it can transform the dullest of environments into beautiful places. Put it on, hear it out, look around, revel in the moment. Here lie the beauty and clarity that get you through your day" - Tristan Prettyman, musician.

This is a wonderful image. A picture of stability in a state of unrest and movement. Very well exposed. And perfectly composed. I only wish Moses was looking away ...

Your note was very interesting to read. This is a nice shot of Moses playing some music for the commuters. I like the closer version of Moses on TrekEarth.

Nice shot of this musician performing in an environment where it is perhaps appreciated more than in any other venue ... (people just don't realise it.) Once again, a good idea to wait for a moving train before taking the shot, it adds drama and context.
You have to wonder about the evolutionary significance of music, how and why we gained an appreciation of it. Social glue? An unintentional side-effect? Or proof of a Creator?
Thanks for sharing

This is a WOW photo. I always give time to all buskers on London Underground.

Now they have licences to play. What your musision friend says is absolutely true. More and more people stop to give them money but also, more importantly, to talk to them. All are very talented and their music certainly makes us happy, sad, thoughtful and richer in heart on our way through the metropolis.

Wonderful photo
