Ok here is a photo I have been working one for quite sometime!
I did quite some PP on this one... 1st selected just the boys hats! (hubby (tom) and son (noah))
and decreased color.. still did not look right so then I selected all of them.. and applied BW.. went back in to adjust Noah's tie dye shirt and bag of pretzels!

This was taken back in September.... at our 1/2 way mark where we sit and look out and have a snack and some water before heading back down the trail!

Named "just listen" for a reminder to myself to JUST STOP and listen to our kids.. Life goes by so quick.. and from this photo I can see Tom totally giving Noah 100% attention.. I also like it because they had NO CLUE I was taking it!! :)

Hi Tricia,
Fantastic image on so many levels! Wonderful capture first and foremost. I like candid photos very much and this is as candid as it can get with excellent detail and composition. Secondly, the PP work is excellent. Good work with the desaturation. Finally, the note and more importantly the message is a very important one...I thank you for the simple reminder...I have two small boys and this photo touched me as my eldest is 3 and half and talks all the time. All the best to you...I hope you enjoyed International Women's Day today!

Cheers, Todd

My favortie type of shot with people, when they least expect it.
Tricia even without the work this is a nice setting and moment you captures of your family.
When I see the work people do with layers etc, I just have to find more time to try this, Well done, the time spent now listening will pay off down the road, as it has with my boys 25 &23.

hi tricia!
great selective desaturation photo, excellent work.

Inspiring the de-saturation, isn't it? :)Excellent PP-work and great note. One technical remark, only de coloured caps would be enough to get the attention needed. The coloured faces, hand and legs are a bit distractive IMO. Overall a superb posting my dear Tricia! Stunning PP-work!

Nice family shot and good PP work to add extra interest by way of the colours. The b&w conversion is also top notch, with some great detail and a nice smooth tonal range.
Thanks for sharing
Mark

HI Tricia
Good Pp work on the selective B&W conversion. Has a real nice look to it. Nice compo. Very well done! Enjoyed your notes and title.

Lyndon

Very good candid shot of father and son. I like the partial desaturation. Well done on the composition.
